Day 2: Seoul Arrival

We finally made it to Seoul!!!! Yeehaw! It's 10:30pm here and we are currently on the KAL Limousine bus heading towards our hotel.
It's about a 90 minute ride and as you can see, we have the bus all to ourselves.
Thank goodness we are done with airplanes for the next several days. Our flight from Chicago to Seoul was jam packed so there was no room for spreading out. Luckily, we ate a meal after about 2 hours into the flight (some Korean chicken TV dinner type thing) and then popped some Melatonin and ZZZQuil to put us both fast asleep for about 5-6 hours.

Casey was out fast! After he woke up I told him they came around with this delicious Salted Caramel ice cream. He was so mad and thought I was lying to him about it. I had to get the girl sitting next to us to vouch for how good it was.
Sorry Casey, "snooze you lose".....literally.
Anyhow, after our slumber we only had a mere 5 hours to go. So we watched a couple movies, ate another meal (stir fry noddles for me and powdered eggs for casey😁) and then it was time to get off the plane.
We didn't get to see much of Tokyo airport because our layover was short. We basically grabbed some sushi, soft serve, water, and iced tea and then boarded the plane. I don't think I'll do iced tea again while in Asia. I don't think that is their specialty.
So....Here we sit on our bus with swollen feet and sore bums. Hopefully we get some good rest tonight so we will be ready to meet Lola tomorrow. Can. Not. Wait!!!!!!
Update: Just made it to our hotel and showered. Not to shabby for $388 for five nights....

Toiletries for days!!!!!

  2. Aunt TT. Hotel tria. The other four families who are adopting are also staying here so we thought it would be a good idea to stay here too.
When we come back to pick up L we will prob do the Marriott route then since we will have a kiddo and need and want something more family friendly and Americanized! Love you!

  3. Love you too. Tip: Koreans hold elderly people with highest respect and it's frowned upon to take a seat in the front of the bus. They save seats for them.
I'll make sure you have a friends and family form valid for that date of travel. Love you be safe.
